Educating The Community About Feral Cats And Trap Neuter Return Programs

What is the purpose of this blog?

Filed under: Feral Friends Blog — Posted by Tree House TNR on April 26, 2008

This blog is to educate people, and raise funds which will go directly to paying for spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations for unowned cats currently living on the streets in the Chicago area. By giving money to this cause you are helping to lower euthanasia rates in our area, and helping these cats live healthier lives. This blog is maintained by staff of Tree House Animal Foundation, a non-profit no-kill shelter for cats with two locations on Chicago’s north side. Tree House has a feral friends program and one important aspect of this is to educate people about TNR, or trap, neuter, return. Tree House devotes hours to helping individuals and groups plan their own TNR projects in a humane and effective manner, but sometimes there are cats in need and no funds for the spay/neuter surgeries. This fund will be used to pay for spay/neuter surgeries at major low-cost clinics in Chicago including but not limited to Tree House’s spay/neuter clinic, so that these TNR projects can move forward and be completed.
